Peer-to-peer service: Pilot group application
Applications to join the peer-to-peer pilot are now closed. Thank you to all those who applied
The peer-to-peer service will be an online space where young people can share personal experiences, give tips and connect with each other on a variety of mental health and wellness related topics.
The platform will be open for anyone to browse through, but users will need to make an account to share posts. Every user will be completely anonymous from each other, and the space will be moderated to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
The pilot will take place from early February to the end of March 2021. Pilot user involvement will vary during this time, and will fluctuate at different points of the process, depending on where we are in service development and pilot group members’ availability to participate.
We’re looking for youth to give input on every aspect of the platform, ranging from the development process, layout, design and overall future vision of the service. Most of this feedback will be collected through short surveys or occasional virtual focus groups.
Depending on your personal availability, some pilot members will also be given access to the platform before launch. These members will be asked to engage with the service by creating posts and responding to other pilot users. They will then complete surveys to highlight the successes and areas of improvement for the service.
This will be decided based on your personal capacity. Pilot users can expect at least 10 hours of involvement over the two months of the pilot, which would mainly consist of time completing surveys.
The highest end of involvement would be 60 hours over the two months, most of which would consist of time interacting with the development site.
Depending on what you can commit to, we’ll find the best role for you in this process.
We’re looking for youth in Canada, specifically young people age 16-26. No previous experience is required.
While this isn’t a competitive application process, we may not be able to accept all applications due to space limitations. We’re looking for participants who represent a range of experiences, ideas, identities and backgrounds as we complete the selection process.
Modest compensation will be provided based on your level of involvement in the pilot.
Please submit your application before Sunday January 17, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET. We encourage you to apply early as applications will be considered as they come in.
