A free, confidential helpline for post-secondary students in Ontario.
By calling Good2Talk, students can receive information and referrals about services and supports for mental health, addictions and well-being on and off campus or speak anonymously with a professional counsellor.
First launched in 2013, Good2Talk was created as part of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development’s (MAESD) ‘Mental Health Innovation Fund’. The Mental Health Innovation Fund provides funding for new and innovative approaches to help connect post-secondary students, and those transitioning to university or college, to the mental health services they need. The service is managed and run by four partner organizations.
Good2Talk can support students through a wide range of issues that may be impacting their mental health and well-being, including: depression, anxiety, substance abuse, academic stress, personal or family relationships, loneliness, financial concerns and other challenges facing students transitioning to post-secondary.
Students can reach Good2Talk by calling 1-866-925-5454 or by dialling 2-1-1 and asking to be connected to Good2Talk.
