Bell connects youth to wellness support through innovation
As one of our Founding Partners, Bell has been by our side since 1989. In addition to being among our earliest investors, the company also provided the critical technology infrastructure needed to launch Kids Help Phone as a phone line — Canada’s first 24/7, nationally available mental health service for young people. More than three decades later, the company’s continuous partnership has helped us evolve into one of the world’s leading e-mental health services for young people.
Bell’s enduring impact is woven into the fabric of Kids Help Phone’s story. The company has been there for countless firsts: sponsoring our initial signature fundraising event in 2002 (and every year since); helping to create a critical new access point for young people as a founding donor of Kids Help Phone’s texting service, stabilizing our service with a $1.25 million gift in the face of skyrocketing demand when the COVID-19 pandemic began and supporting Kids Help Phone through awareness raised on Bell Let’s Talk Day each year since the initiative’s launch in 2011.
Now, Bell is leading the way again with a $15 million transformational investment. The Innovation Centre at Kids Help Phone, supported by Bell sparks a new era of evolution to harness leading-edge technology, develop new services and serve every young person in Canada better.
To our friends and partners at Bell, thank you for more than 30 years of partnership, generosity and impact for the young people of Canada. Your commitments are helping to ensure there is a place for young people to feel safe, supported and heard.
Bell is very proud to be a Founding Partner of Kids Help Phone, since the start more than 30 years ago. We are committed to creating positive change for all Canadians, including helping kids, teens and young adults access vital mental health and counselling support when they need it, wherever they are.
