Supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis young people

More can be done to support Indigenous youth.

Kids Help Phone is working hard to ensure we’re doing everything we can to support First Nations, Inuit and Métis young people across Canada.

Here, you can learn about how we’re implementing Finding Hope: Kids Help Phone’s Action Plan for Supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis Young People under the leadership of our Indigenous Advisory Council.

Join us in this important work to help build awareness and reach more Indigenous youth from coast to coast to coast.

One of the ways you can get involved is by becoming a volunteer crisis responder for our texting service. If you’re Indigenous to North America and interested in becoming a crisis responder, you can check out our information page and application page. Please note that applications are only open to Indigenous people as the demand for First Nations, Inuit and Métis crisis responders continues to rise.

Join our Indigenous Initiatives Network for updates on our programs, new resources and ways to contribute.
