We all have family members and friends who are special to us. Making a gift in honour or in memory of someone is a meaningful way to recognize your loved ones while helping to save and change the lives of kids in Canada.

The same day you make your gift, an acknowledgement card will be sent to the honouree or their family, informing them of your kind gesture. Print cards or e-cards are available for your convenience. No gift amounts will be disclosed in this acknowledgement.

The following are the most frequently asked questions that we receive about donating and our fundraising activities.

If your donation is made online, a tax receipt will be emailed to you immediately. If your donation is made via mail or phone, a tax receipt will be mailed to you within one week. In the event that your receipt has been lost or misplaced or you have moved, a duplicate receipt can be issued. Please call us toll-free at 1-800-268-3062 or contact us online.

If you would like to update your name, address or phone number, or if you would like to update your credit card or banking information for your monthly gift, please call us toll-free at 1-800-268-3062 or contact us online.

Donations provide critical funding to ensure we are open for young people in Canada 24/7/365, providing a safe and trusted place in any moment of crisis or need. Whether it’s funding our professional counselling service, expanding an innovative new service like Kids Help Phone’s texting service or ensuring our researched-based information and resources are always available on our website.  A donors support allows youth to access the support they need — whenever, wherever and however they need it.
