A passionate supporter of people and communities across Atlantic Canada, the J&W Murphy Foundation — a private foundation based in Nova Scotia — has made a transformational new gift of $1 million to scale Kids Help Phone’s services across the region. The Foundation’s remarkable investment represents its largest gift to Kids Help Phone to date.

With a goal to ensure that every young person in Atlantic Canada has access to the e-mental health services they need to truly thrive, this major new contribution will directly advance the three core pillars of Kids Help Phone’s Feel Out Loud movement: delivering clinical services in every corner of the region, advancing equity for all youth and transforming the landscape of e-mental health through unparalleled data, research, partnerships and advocacy.

Young people in Atlantic Canada face unique barriers to accessing high quality e-mental health services, including limited access to support in rural and remote communities. The J&W Murphy Foundation’s generous investment will significantly increase Kids Help Phone’s reach right across Atlantic Canada in the months and years ahead, unlocking hope for countless young people in their time of need.

To our partners at the J&W Murphy Foundation: Thank you so much for your enduring partnership and transformational new investment. We could not be more grateful.

Matching opportunity alert! The J&W Murphy Foundation has generously offered to TRIPLE all gifts made to Kids Help Phone from people in Atlantic Canada until December 31, 2024. Let’s mobilize for youth mental health, Atlantic Canada — donate today to triple your impact!
