We are pleased to be hosting the 14th annual Kids Help Phone Homes for the Holidays seasonal self-guided tour and fundraiser, which has become an annual tradition with attendees coming from near and far.
Continuing to feature homes on the West side of Vancouver, we are very excited to announce that this year the 14th annual Homes for the Holidays will launch the 2018 tour into West Vancouver, highlighting two very stunning new homes.
Six beautiful homes in Vancouver, ranging from contemporary to traditional to modern, will have your festive impulse buzzing when you see what our designers have come up with to help make your holiday season memorable.
Local homeowners, designers, retail stores and countless volunteers generously give their time and talent to make this event a huge success. We would like to thank each and every one of them for their support.
We invite you to come explore the endless décor possibilities for your holiday decorating while supporting kids in our community.
Kids Help Phone is a charity that provides counselling and referrals in both official languages as the only national helpline for young people. I suppose in retrospect it must have seemed a little odd to see an eleven year old girl regularly repositioning the living room furniture to “make the room look nicer”. I guess this was the emergence of what was to become my second greatest passion, surpassed only by raising my daughter.
Fast forward twenty-five years to the purchase of our first Vancouver home and my sheer delight at the prospect of “changing everything!” My love affair with fabric and gardening was born. Five years later when my husband and I listed our home for sale and held our first open house, I was overwhelmed at the requests for “the name of the interior decorator”! I missed my calling; Accounting just wasn’t giving me goosebumps!
My passion has grown steadily over the years and through several personal projects, now I am delighted and honoured that it has led me to this opportunity to support the Kids Help Phone. Certainly there can be no greater reward than helping kids whilst doing what you love the most!
Since opening my namesake design firm in 2009, I have been creating beautiful, liveable spaces from Vancouver to California, New York and as far away as Singapore. My approachable style is undeniably rooted in a West Coast aesthetic, producing interiors that are both timeless and elegant. I love working collaboratively with my clients to create homes that reflect the values, lifestyle and sensibilities of the people who inhabit them. I draw much of my inspiration from the relationships I develop with my clients and often design multiple homes for generations of the same family.
I am so proud to be a part of Homes for the Holidays 2018 and helping to raise awareness and money for Kids Help Phone.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. This designer, Wife and mom of three discovered her passion for Interior design early on and honed her skills through a sense of home renovations she completed in partnership with her husband. She launched her own design studio in 2014.
Kirsten cites her love of the natural environment of the Pacific Northwest and respect for the diversity of vultures as the base for her work. While her projects vary in style and scale, the constant in her aesthetic vision is a devotion to clean lines and warm, refined materials that feel modern while celebrating the past. Her breadth of education and work experience has contributed to her ability to develop strong client relationships based on trust, respect and confidence. Skilled at creating beautiful interiors under a variety of budgets, styles and timeframes, Kirsten’s focus always is to craft spaces tailored to individual needs and lifestyles. Kerri Watson is known for her classic use of symmetry, sophisticated colour palettes and respect for the architecture in the spaces she designs. As a designer and planner, Kerri helps her clients realize their goals to create a living space that they love.
Although Kerri favours an elegant design, her interiors are a talented blend of beauty and liveability. She believes that some rooms should embrace and welcome you, while others should simply take your breath away! Living with Vancouver’s stunning views, Kerri works to incorporate a bit of nature into every space. She has lived in many cities in North and South America and travelled extensively. Each destination helps to shape and broaden her design aesthetic while strengthening her appreciation for life on the West Coast.
