The Grocery Foundation is a national community of grocery, food, beverage and consumer product companies committed to investing in the well-being of children across Canada.  

Since 2009, The Grocery Foundation has been a leading champion of Kids Help Phone (KHP) as the producer of the Night to Nurture Gala –– an annual fundraising event that has raised over $14 million in support of Kids Help Phone.

Year after year, this incredible event has brought together Canada’s grocery industry, including retailers, vendors and suppliers, to rally support for young people nation-wide and help change the lives of young people. The event has welcomed thousands of guests and many high-profile comedians and entertainers over its 40+-year history. During COVID-19, The Grocery Foundation pivoted the event to a virtual format and still engaged thousands of people across Canada to raise critical funds for the well-being of youth.   

Now, with the launch of Kids Help Phone’s Feel Out Loud movement for youth mental health, The Grocery Foundation has stepped up once again with a transformational $5.5 million gift.

Resources Around Me, supported by The Grocery Foundation — is the largest database of its kind in Canada with a digital hub of more than 15,000 carefully selected and inclusive youth mental health support programs and services in communities from coast to coast to coast. Resources Around Me is a vital way young people can quickly and easily identify and connect with local resources so they can feel supported and heard.

The Grocery Foundation is playing a critical role in building KHP’s capacity to be there for every young person reaching out in their time of need –– creating a stronger, healthier and more resilient Canada in the process. We are deeply grateful.
