As Kids Help Phone’s Innovation Catalyst, Canada Health Infoway — an organization dedicated to making health care more digital — has profoundly transformed the ways in which young people interact with our services through the power of innovation, data and technology.

Among the earliest supporters of our innovative and highly scalable crisis texting service, Canada Health Infoway has also invested deeply in the development of our innovative technology. Leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning, this technology — which includes the introduction of our chatbot, Kip — is helping to ensure young people can access the level of support that’s best for them at the moment they need it.

Through its support of Kids Help Phone Insights, Canada Health Infoway directly helps provide never-before-available, critically needed data on youth mental health and wellbeing. And its investment in the Peer-to-Peer Community at Kids Help Phone have helped enable the launch of a first-of-its-kind collection of moderated online support forums where youth across Canada can connect with one another.

Now, Canada Health Infoway is helping to fuel the work taking place at Kids Help Phone’s new Innovation Centre for E-Mental Health Solutions — a central hub bringing together thought leadership, data insights, and bold new solutions for digital transformation. With a goal to integrate all of our services onto a single platform, inform the development of new services and access points, and guide advocacy in support of a better, stronger mental health system for young people, the Innovation Centre is driving transformational change in youth mental health.

We’re deeply grateful to Canada Health Infoway for their devoted partnership, deep commitment to the power of innovation, and generosity as we work together to create a world in which every young person can be supported.

“Addressing Canada’s youth mental health crisis means constantly evolving to meet young people where they’re at — and where they’re at is the digital world. At Canada Health Infoway, we’re incredibly proud to partner with Kids Help Phone to help usher in a new dawn in mental health support delivery — one that’s rooted in the power of innovation, technology, and data, so that no young person is left behind.”
