The best you are giving

I spend most of my time wishing there was something like a life coach,
Someone who can tell me exactly what I should do,
How I should live, to make a good life for myself.

There are moments when I am in desperate need of answers,
When I want to be shown the life test review answer key,
A thorough outline of what is wrong or right.

But these moments pass, they do
The demons settle back in where they habit and you are allowed to breathe,
That’s what there is to love about time.

See, in reality no one would be qualified to be a life coach.
It’s our first time being alive, living in this world, as it is today.

So be confident of the best you are giving to survive,
Knowing your best doesn’t have to be 100%.
Your best, as long as it gets you there, can be 10% or 5%.

Your best can be going about your day as lazily as your motivation allows,
It can be avoiding facing the conflicts and struggles that riddle your days,
It’s never cowardly to avoid swimming when you don’t know how to;
You brave the waters only when you are finally learning to.

Since it’s your first time living,
You don’t have to rely heavily on others’ opinion about how you should live,
Be confident in the best you are giving.
