Someone said, “The literal meaning of life is whatever you are doing that stops you from killing yourself.”

What do I do that stops me from killing myself?
I watch dramas, I go out with my friends, I treat myself to sweet things, indulge myself a little.
There are moments when it’s not enough,
The heartache and sadness creeps in
But I’m glad it’s been enough all this while.
I listen to songs too,
Thank goodness for music
There is a lot practicality we have to walk through
But I’m glad these feelings, this hope, this experience and warmth
Is what we come back to.
So when the stone sitting in my heart starts feeling bigger,
Suffocating me from inside
I will turn to the ridiculed songs and dramas,
The warmth that my friends have shown me,
The comfort of a delicious sweet treat.

This too will pass.
